Tarragon Seeds

Tarragon Seeds

  • Quick-growing herb with a subtle liquorice flavour
  • Suitable for borders as well as pots
  • Use for flavouring a wide range of dishes over many months of the year

Sowing Indoors

Sow sparingly on the surface of moistened compost in trays, or in individual pots (you probably won't need many plants). Keep at 15-20°C and allow a few weeks to germinate.

Growing On / Planting Out

When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings to individual pots of potting compost and keep in a warm, bright position. Once well-rooted, plant out in a sunny, sheltered spot in well-drained soil, or in a large pot (minimum 30cm diameter).

Sowing Outdoors

Alternatively, sow on the surface of the soil once the soil has warmed up and all danger of frost has passed. Aftercare Water well, especially while establishing and during warm, dry spells.
