Seed Potato 'Ratte'

Seed Potato 'Ratte'

  • Simply delicious nutty taste
  • Firm waxy flesh
  • Tonnes of little potatoes

‘Ratte’ is a delicious, nutty variety of potato which tastes like chestnuts. Originating in Denmark and France, these long-shaped tubers are ideal for salads, mashing or serving with a great mound of butter. We recommend steaming in their skin and enjoying the taste hot or cold. This variety did very well in our trials, and produced tons of little potatoes with a firm, waxy flesh that did not disintegrate when cooked.
