Verbena Seeds 'Bonariensis Vanity'
- More compact form, but full of colour
- Long flowering period
- Fine foliage and an intense blue colour
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth, 15-18°C and keep moist. Keep in a light position but away from direct sunlight.
Growing On
When large enough to handle, transplant singly into 8cm pots, or 5cm apart into trays of potting compost. Grow on at a minimum temperature of 10°C.
Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny position in well-drained soil. Water well until established.
Advice
Does not require staking. Leave to stand after flowering as the seed heads are attractive to birds. Cut back in spring.
